When Dominic’s father gave his toast during the reception, he spoke of how much Dom’s mom would of loved to have been there, and how proud she would have been to see Dominic marry Janelle – and let us tell you, just thinking about that moment still puts a lump in our throats. On his tux pocket, he carried a photo of her close to his heart as he married Janelle. They recently had a big renovation, and now the place looks and feels like an. Our favorite detail of the day, however, was the way that Dominic honored his late mother. Castaway is a Valley classic that sits on a hill overlooking Burbank. Father Arnold, a family friend of Dominic’s, came all the way from Hawaii to perform the ceremony, which made it even that much more special and personal. Andrews Catholic Church in Pasadena – which, for those of you who love watching the Princess Diaries movies might recognize – it’s the church where Anne Hathaway almost gets married in! The church is absolutely stunning, with gorgeous painted artwork covering the walls and ceiling. He immediately was drawn to her, and he asked her out FOUR TIMES before she finally said yes! Dom says that the fact that he was so persistent and couldn’t fathom being with anyone else, told him she was the girl he’d end up being with forever – and he was right! He proposed after dating for a few years, and the rest, as they say – is history! These two met in drama class when Janelle was a junior and Dominic was a senior. We’d been looking forward to Dom + Janelle’s Burbank wedding for so long – from our initial meeting a few months ago to their super fun Disneyland engagement session, we just knew their wedding would be so much fun … and it totally was!!
